So does anyone think Kolb will be Mcnabbs successor. Seems that way huh, since they drafted a young qb, and mcnabb is getting older and is clearly injury prone. Wouldnt suprise me if Mcnabb was gone after this season. The eagles do kinda have a tendency to get rid of older players with big contracts. Troy Vincent, Bobby Taylor, Hugh Douglas, Duce Staley for example.

I think McNabb controls his own destiny. If he plays like the MVP caliber QB he is and returns to form, and they at least make it back to the SB then McNabb stays. If McNabb gets hurt again then chances are he's done in 2 years. I think McNabb will bounce back and lead this team to a Super Bowl within the next 2 years.

The only reason why this is even a topic of conversation is that Kolb was drafted in the 2nd round. Kold could very well be McNabb's successor, in 2 or 3 seasons. Which is probably what the Eagles are hoping, they know McNabb isn't getting any younger and has had his share of injuries. It's not often a team in the shape the Eagles are in can have the luxury of grooming a quarterback for the future and still be a Super Bowl contender.

The Eagles are fine at this position... Kolb will always be able to generate interest via a trade if McNabb performs as you stated. No lose situation for the Iggles...
